It was noted that the bill (Reg. No. 1143) was developed to unify criminal and legal terminology. It is suggested to supplement the General part of the Criminal Code with section 1-1 “Term Definition” and make respective amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Main part. The author believes that implementation of bill provisions “shall secure the semantic completeness of legal terms, excluding ambiguous interpretation; promote equal use of legislation and protection of rights and legal interests of a human and citizen; and shall also promote adherence to the main constitutional, as well as criminal and legal principles”.
People’s deputies believe that the submitted bill is founded on the constitutional and legal basis.
